Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Day in Kilimanjaro International Airport

Welcome to the start of your safari and welcome to Tanzania!
This is the moment you’ve been waiting for: your Tanzanian safari starts here. You have so much to look forward to and we’ll get your trip underway as soon as we give you an introduction to our team and explain what lies ahead.

Busy Arusha is an essential part of safari life here in northern Tanzania and most travellers pass through at some stage. Whether you’re on your way out on safari or here for a little longer, you’ll catch a glimpse of streets filled with energy and colour.

Accommodation:
Under the shade safari lodge situated near Arusha Airport. Set within 10 acres of landscaped gardens and natural vegetation, Under the Shade Safari Lodge is a perfect setting to escape the urban jungle for a therapeutic experience.
Meal Plan: Dinner

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, depart from Arusha and journey to Tarangire National Park, known for its iconic baobab trees and abundant wildlife.
Your 4×4 vehicle, equipped with state-of-the-art optics, ensures you won’t miss a moment of the action. Enjoy a thrilling game drive, as your expert guide navigates through the park’s diverse landscapes, in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and more. Witness the wildlife in their natural habitat, capturing unforgettable moments.
Later in the early evening, drive to Karatu for an overnight stay at your lodge. Indulge in a delicious dinner, savouring local flavours.

Accommodation:
Eileen’s Trees Inn, is located in Karatu, one of the busiest towns where the road rises towards Ngorongoro Crater from the southeast. But at Eileen’s Trees Inn, you have the best of both worlds. You can walk into town and experience its markets and roadside stalls, then retreat to the inn’s verdant gardens for a real sense of peace.
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 3: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we make our way to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. En route, you’ll be captivated by the stunning scenery and the vastness of the African savannah.
Upon entering the Serengeti, your game drive will begin, offering incredible opportunities to see the lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, cheetahs and many other animals including antelopes as well as other wildlife species.
Your seasoned guide provides detailed explanations of animal behaviour and ecosystem dynamics, making this not just a game drive but a truly educational experience.

Accommodation:
Embalakai Authentic Camp, Stay in wood-floored safari tents at Embalakai Camp, and listen to the wildlife that is present in such numbers in this corner of the central Serengeti. There are very few other camps in the area, which means many more animals than people. The camp is close to the river and otherwise surrounded by savannah.

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 4: Serengeti National Park

There’s no such thing as too many days in the Serengeti, the second day you’ll get to enjoy it all over again.
You’ll delve deeper into the diverse ecosystems and wildlife of the Serengeti. The itinerary is flexible, allowing you to pursue specific interests, whether it’s tracking the Great Migration or observing the predators in action.
Each game drive offers opportunities to witness wildlife behaviour up close, from thrilling predator-prey interactions to the elegance of giraffes and other herbivores grazing on the trees and open plains.

During your game drives, you’ll savour gourmet picnic lunches at carefully chosen spots that provide both scenic beauty and wildlife viewing opportunities. These al fresco dining experiences are a perfect way to connect with nature.
Later after lunch, you will begin heading to Ngorongoro Conservation Area where by you will have an overnight stay and dinner at your accommodation.

Accommodation:
Embalakai Authentic Camp Ngorongoro, The camp has views over the local acacia trees and out to the far-off hills. It is close to the Elerai River and the Maasai bomas. The dining area, where you will eat breakfast and dinner, is located in the main tent. The deck is the ideal location for watching the sun set over the far-off hills while sipping a cool sundowner.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Tour & Departure Day

After breakfast, you descend into the caldera a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s natural wonders. As you head down a unique ecosystem teeming with wildlife unfolds before your eyes. The crater is home to an impressive concentration of animals, making it an exceptional game-viewing destination.
Later in the afternoon enjoy your picnic lunch close to a hippo pool and experience the moment.

Later you will ascend the crater and head back to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule you will transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your ongoing journey.

Dear Travelers, Lovers of Africa and African Expeditions! I would like to recommend you Northern Masailand Safaris. The office has been successfully operating on the tourism market in Tanzania for many years. The owner – Olanana - a young, ambitious man, open to people and perfectly understanding the needs of tourists. Why is it worth it? First of all, from the beginning, the Office was extremely helpful in planning trips, places to stay, excursion routes, flights, car transfers, etc. Internet or telephone communication, it has always been up to the task. Therefore, it was possible to transparently choose my first Tanzania itinerary. Starting from the arrival to Dar El Salaam, transfer by ferry to the island of Zanzibar, selection of comfortable hotel facilities, to the further trip to the Safari, everything was done to the proverbial "last button". Thanks to this, being a traveler individually implementing individual points of this trip, I had no problems with security, plane tickets, care of guides. There were also no problems with private off-road trips and overnight stays on a few-day Safari. All these images, videos from the trip and photos will remain in my memory, and I recommend you to realize and fulfill your own dreams with the Northern Masailand Safaris. Le contact avec Henry a été excellent tout au long des trois jours. Il a été transparent sur les méthodes de paiements.  Verified Very unique and memoriable experience
Me and my husband took a trip to Tanzania and I, by chance, found Henry on the net. He has been very very responsive from the begining and tailored the whole 8 days based on our wishes and budget. He assigned us a great guide, Mashek, who definitely has eagle eyes and great sense of humour. We went on a limited budget yet everything was fine and well organized. We also had 1.5 days in Zanzibar- due to tide- we could not enjoy blue waters as in pictures yet had very different experience walking on the sea at 6.00 am to watch fisherman and walk with ladies on the sea for catching crabs. We definitely suggest Henry and Mashek (our guide) for your trip to Tanzania and thank them.  Verified Best adventure holiday we've ever had!
Henry put together this great trip for us. It was a private 14 day Safari for my wife and I. We had a great time and really enjoyed the whole safari. One of the highlights of our trip was the reception and stay at the Boma at the Osigilai Maasai lodge. The elder was a wonderful man and very informative about the Maasai culture. All the people were wonderful and treated us like royalty. We got to see all of the animals in the Serengeti and it was really fun to watch the many groups of wildebeest and zebras as they began their trip in the great migration. The lodges and tents exceeded our expectations.and our guides, Edward and Benjamin, were terrific. We enjoyed spending time with them. We love Tanzania and hope to visit again.
